Weird Rotting (Pic )

I've never seen this one before. Did some searching and couldn't find anything remotely like it. Leaves look totally healthy but two clusters looked like the pic. Bottom of the fruit is still totally green and healthy with no black areas.

It's a Burpee Beefsteak Hybrid grown in a container.

Any idea what this is?

Violet, you might have a better chance of getting an answer on the Tomato forum. This one seems to be slow.

Looks similar to late blight. How are the plants doing?

If it is late blight, they should be pretty much in the goner category by now.

It's not late blight. The rest of the plant is very healthy with no sign of disease.

I'm stumped!

Hmm. Then I'm stumped.

Have other tomatoes which developed after those also have the same markings?

If so, do they rot on the plant? Or are they just "marked?"
