ber

I've read at the Tomato Problem Solver site that BER can be caused by calcium deficiency from water stress. How does water stress cause this. Is it just lack of water and the roots can't get what they need. I have BER on a bunch of fruit but my plants have not had any sort of lack of water. I've been extremely careful to not over or under water. I've got compost and mulch in there too.

The weather HAS been absolutely horrible though. Fog fog and more fog. Before that it was wind wind and more wind.

I've read that for roses the soil temp can be a consideration in the availability of nutrients. Is this also true for tomatoes?

Thanks

Janet
