Avoid tomato wilt next year?

I have had what I am sure is early wilt every year for the past several. When the soil was new crops were outstanding! I can not really move them to another location. I also spread weed fabric down and top that with bark mulch so it's not like dirt is splashing up on them.

My question is an idea I have tossed around for next year. Would it help when I plant the seedings (store bought) if I dig a hole about 1'x1'x1' and plant the seedlings in new store bought potting type soil? I'm thinking the roots will not be exposed to the problematic soil.
