Hello all I'm a new poster, though I've been viewing the forum for quite some time and have found it very helpful. I figured I'd join up and try to add a little something since I've gathered so much information over the years. I'm a very novice gardener and have a very small scale backyard garden growing for a couple seasons now.
Anyhow, the purpose of this is to identify an insect that I haven't seen before. All of my search queries have pointed to lady bug larvae. I am familiar with lady bug larvae and though similar this insect is different to what I am familiar with. The difficulty is that it is black and does have spikes or hairs or however you would like to describe it.
I will now attempt my first upload on this site...lets see how it works.
OK apparently my file is too large, I still don't know how to shrink the file size (after all these years...)
