help: rosemary problem

hi everyone, i hope the holidays were well.
during christmas i purchased a rosemary and a lavender topiary. to my surprise the lavender topiary is doing very well...it was even budding. but the rosemary is starting to die. it's in the most sunniest window i have. it's watered, not too soggy. not to dry. i cut back all the dead stuff -- it's no longer a tree topiary form because of all the trimming i had to do to take off the dead stuff. i've always had trouble with rosemary -- especially when it was time to bring it inside. i live in zone 6.

any suggestions as to what i can do to keep it alive? i can bring it to work if it needs more sun/light.

thanks in advance.

RE: help: rosemary problem

It probably needs more moisture - but in the air, not on the leaves. Try setting it on a wide tray of water, with enough pebbles to raise the pot above the water level. This constant evaporation may save it, but from what I've read, misting is not adequate. I'm sure you are working hard to keep it going - rosemaries aren't easy to overwinter up north. All the best.
