my ivy topiary is drying up

| I bought two identical ivy topiaries at Costco in Nov. 2004. One is thriving while the other has been shriveling up and drying. This one was very near a furnace like radiator. I am trying to revive it...a thorough watering, a cool spot on a windowsill, etc. I don't know if it's salvageable. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or is it too late? Thanks for your thoughts. |

| It's a case of wait and see. Expect quite a bit of die backs and shrivelled stems. - however gently scrape the bark off the base of the ivy stem. If it appears fresh/green there's a good chance of recover. The ivy will rebound from it's root base. Don't overwater, just be vigilant and let it recover. Absolutely no fertilizers. Good luck. | Also, check for webbing on the leaves. They're susceptible to spider mites, who like the dry conditions you describe. |

| Thank you all for the helpful responses. I tried scraping the bark of the base and one of the stems looks still viable. Here's hoping!! |
