I want to shape a Weeping Mulberry

I have several starts from the UC Germplasm folk leafing up outside (hopefully they are rooting up as well!) and I need to know what to do with them when they get going.
I want to make a weeping standard, so I have to get the tree to grow up (maybe not STRAIGHT up, though!). Should I
A) Tie it to a stick.
B) Lie it on the ground (I have an alley that would be perfect for this is why I ask.)
C) Get really weird and hang it upside down in a container.
D) I'm an idiot because I should just graft it to a nonweeping piece
Unfortunatly I don't know how to graft and I'd like to shape the trunk (a la Arbosculpture.) Ideas?
Right now they are each about a foot high, so I have awhile.

Tie the shrub to a stick and trim side branches so that you leave the main header free of side branches. When the right height is attained, then encourage side growths.
