last year i decided to cut my overgrown holly bushes into what i call ..umbrella bushes....i guess they are sorta topiary bushes....it was very intense...to say the least as they were extremely overgrown and bushy....but i finally succeeded....(i cut 6).. they look great actually...but the new growth at the base is so hard to keep pinched back....is there something to prevent the regrowth...or will it eventually just give up and stop?? (before i give up and stop...lol) thanx guys...pam

They will always keep growing back. Just try to get them when they are small.
