lilac topiary or braiding

Would a Little Kim lilac be a good candidate for braiding where you choose three shoots or branches that you would braid leaving the top to be "formed" into a ball or shape to form a topiary?

It would be worth a try. Lilacs flower on the previous years growth. You should not expect flowers if it is trimmed, say in mid summer.
