HELP eugenia plant

I live in Boca Raton, FL and have a eugenia plant that the bark seems to be fine but the top leaves are brown and falling off and yellow mushrooms grow in the pot. It is on my patio in the front which gets morning sun. I know by 2pm it is in shade the rest of the day. What do I do to keep it from dying? It was given to me and I don't know anything about it. It is shaped like a tree with the leaves shaped into balls. Thanks anyone.

RE: HELP eugenia plant

Sounds to me like the plant is suffering from over watering. I would try less frequent watering and Let us know
how it is doing.
