Evergreen and Blooming Lolipop Trees for Colorado

Posted by mygardens 5 CO (christophermcginness@yahoo.com) on

I want to place two evergreen lolipop trees on either side of front porch steps

I would love to use holly in the front but unsure which species would do well in a sunny but sheltered location.

Then I want several blooming lolipop trees on the south side of the house in an area that gets full sun but is sheltered from the wind. Considered rose trees but they simply won't winter without a tremendous amount of work in the Colorado climate.
I'd like all of them to be have at least 36" stems.

Thanks for your help!

RE: Evergreen and Blooming Lolipop Trees for Colorado

Why not check around your area for trees that bloom and then consider them for lollipoping. That should be the easiest approach to finding a durable tree.

Generally speaking, any tree can be made into lollipops.
