Lavendar for topiary

I want to make two of my three lavendars into Topiary, any suggestions? They are Munstead, and each has lots of branches coming from the trunk, do I remove some bottom branches? or just keep it manicured while waiting for it to grow?

I've pruned mine into a mini-tree shape, you could do a cloud type topiary (lots of pompoms) or try a bird-peacock maybe? My munstead seems pretty forgiving of cuts, even those on the old wood. Have fun.

Depends, do you want to increase the size of the trunk or are you happy with it the way it is?

If the size of the trunk is satisfactory and the scale is good, then cut off the lower branches. If you would like to thicken the trunk, keep a few lower branches till you get the size that makes you happy and then cut off.
