On the Gardenweb Forum "Garden Junk" there is a post entitled "I Love Trash" and a photo of a topiary of Oscar the Grouch. I would like to try making this. What type of plant do you think they used. Any suggestions for topiary plants hardy to zone 4? thanks...

Hi, I"m not sure what grows in your part of the country, I would suggest Ivy or Ficus.
Since I m in S. Fla. my choices are different,'Good Luck,

Hey Sprout,

I could give Chris a call.....I still haven't sent the thank you note for the banannas.....I have the card somewhere...shame on me.....I not sure what plant was used it was dark. Anyway the banannas are growing and now I'm looking for more sunnier areas for them......I brought one to the day care so the kids are still calling me Debbie Nature.....I feel like a Mr. Roger when I enter the room. I should leave a sweater and an extra pair of shoes. It's fun to sit and share a snack with them. Today we had gramh crachers and water. I ate it any way. I stopped here to find some ideas for the wire I collected. It seems pretty sturdy. I was looking on some pictures but I guess I got to do a search.
