I have a cub cadet 2544 with an electric clutch issue. The tractor starts with the PTO engaged even tho the PTO switch is off (in). It will not start with the PTO in the on position. After starting (with blades engaged) the PTO switch has no effect. Can the clutch be in a frozen ON position ? I checked voltage across the switches, new battery, seat and reverse safety switches intact. The clutch will not turn off once the engine is started. Any suggestions would be appreciated before I spent $250 for a new clutch. Thanks.
