If you're anywhere near Asheville, NC, it's worth your while to tour Biltmore House and Gardens. Plan your trip for late spring or summer and you'll see gardens most of us can only dream about! It's a bit expensive, when I was there in 1995 it was $50 per adult but it was money well spent...it was an experience I'll remember for a lifetime. If you're into gardens, you MUST see Biltmore!

It was wonderful although a bit overwhelming. We went last spring and hope to go back sometime.

We went probably 15 yrs ago and still talk about going back for more. The grounds and gardens were fabulous, architecture of building was amazing, spent all day there and could do again. A definite "to do" on this year's list, already have the admission price tucked away.

I don't remember it costing that much! Probably because we were so overwhelmed with the place It is definately a place to see. We went in Oct/2000 the (fall) color was beautiful, and the winery even better!! '~' hic'up....! They were working on the adjacent hotel at the time!

We were there last fall, and our timing was perfect for seeing the rose garden in full bloom. I couldn't believe our luck, I was afraid the roses would have been done by that time of year (Oct.). We splurged a bit and stayed at the new hotel on the grounds. It was a wonderful hotel and admission to the mansion was included in the price of the room. Someday we hope to make it back.
