Hi, I'm travelling to Los Angeles... in few days... I want to see a garden that would have intresting varities.. of trees, such as Rare Fruit trees, Bonsai trees... Anything intresting. Living in Zone 6 pennsylvania... we don't have the kinda weather and the trees they have there.
Anyone can help with that? it doesn't have to be LA if it was within a driving distance. How about even san Diego?
thanks
Bass

I'm not from there, but when traveling there as a student I remember the Huntington Botanic Garden as being fabulous. Great museum/library too, I think.

Santa Barbara has a couple must-see sites as well.

Go to the gardens at San Juan Capistrano. It's a beautiful small town between LA and San Diego. There is an Spanish church with gorgeous gardens. The town has many older houses, some are now antique shops.

Hope this helps!

Dan
