Halifax Public Gardens

E. Salem

The Public Gardens in Halifax, Nova Scotia, though not as old as the Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia Gardens, has history. It is a Victorian garden that has been around town since the mid nineteenth century.

Waterfowl such as ducks, swans, and geese live in manmade streams with waterfalls. The waterfowl co-habitates with its many flowers and plants that vary from season to season, from tulips in the spring to roses in the summer. There are interesting trees and plants to entice the eye, of magnolia blossoms and aloe vera plants.

It is a nice place to commune with nature three seasons of the year, except winter when the Gardens are closed.
