I will be visiting a gardening friend near Orlando in mid-march for a few days. Any suggestions on gardens to visit? Thanks!

Go on the behind the scenes garden tour of disney, go to Cypress gardens. On the west coast is Marie Selby Botanical Gardens which is worth the drive. Try while in florida to find some pine hammocks to see the bromiliads in the wild, I don't know if they have all been destroyed yet. Have a good holiday.

Thanks Ethan, I would love to see the garden in Sarasota, but will actually be in Titusville on the other side of the state, so will probably have to do that one on another trip. What about the H.Leu Garden in Orlando? Worth seeing? Also, I was wondering if Flamingo Gardens in Ft. Lauderdale would be worth the trip.

If your going south the 'fruit and spice garden' is a have to visit. I remember visiting a great japanese garden on the east coast of florida but don't remember where.
I hope to visit florida in the crazy hot months of July, August.

Leu Gardens in Orlando is worth a visit. Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales is also pretty good.
