Floriade

Does anyone have any info on Floriade in Holland this year? It is a large garden show held once every 10 years in Holland. I was wondering if anyone has ever been and if it was worth the trip. It is this spring and summer. I am going to be in England in June and wondered if the effort to arrange a side trip would be worth the money and time. Thanks, Arlene

RE: Floriade

Hi Thumper!

You can find information about the Floriade on www.floriade.nl. This year's exhibition runs from April 6 thru Oct, I think the 22nd. It is in the Haarlemmermeer, the same county where the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is located, so getting there should not be so difficult. I went to the last Floriade held in 1992 in Zoetermeer, NL, and that one I thought was worth a visit so I decided to go the next one in 2002. At that time I lived in the Haarlemmermeer. Six years ago I moved to Sweden but the promise is kept. I'm going to the Floriade any way, I think end May or early June.

RE: Floriade

I go there every sunday and have became a fan. I make photos and put them on my site. So maybe I have a nice collage at the end.
The information for the travel is not easy to find, so I put together all the information you need. Actually the site is growing every day now.
You can take a look at www.in-holland.ws or www.floriade.ws

And if you have remarks or a nice message, please write something in my clipboard.

If you still have any questions, ask me... I will investigate and try to find an answer.

Greetings, Astrid
