I'm going to vancouver! Suggestions?

| I'm going to vancouver in a month and plan to see the butchart gardens in victoria. Any suggestions on other gardens in the area? How about A good hotel in the area? Something with a pool but not too fancy dancy!!! Thank you mary ellen |

| Oh lucky you! The sunken garden is definitely worth seeing. I believe there are 1 or 2 Botanic Gardens also. Not a garden, but the aquarium is a must see. Can't we all go? |

I just returned from visiting a friend in Surry? It is close to Vancouver. I had the best time the gardens are just lovely. Visited VanDusen Botanical Garden, Capilano suspension Bridge, Stanley Park, Gas town, Buchart Gardens, Shannon Falls,The peace arch. I'm sure there was more but can't remember all the names. Have a brochure I picked up while there with a web site, maybe this will help you. www.vancouverspecialtours.com The weather sure was great too, so nice to get away from all this humidity here in Illinois.

| hgtv has a show in its "secret gardens of..." series on vancouver. One or two of them are usually open to the public and they are listed on the website. Enjoy your trip. |

| Might I suggest the UBC Botanical Gardens and esp. Nitobe Japanes garden? both are can't miss! |

Loriann, if you were at the Peach Arch, you were a stones throw away from my house in Blaine Wash. There are many dahlia gardens in my area. If you saw the dahlias at the Peace Arch many of them I have donated.
