Wanted to share one of the most spectacular palm gardens I have ever seen - on the Big Island of Hawaii at the Hawaiian Oasis B&B. They have over 50 varieties including several rare ones. Their website has pictures of many of the palms.

Thanks for posting this! I'm going to the Big Island in October, looking for plant places to visit. Any other suggestions? We'll be staying near Hilo.

Cheers~

That should be a good time to go to the Big Island. I have only been to Hilo once and it rained all the time. There are many gorgeous gardens on that side of the island and orchids just grow out of the sides of trees. I don't remember any good places to eat and the place we stayed wasn't very nice. But if you do break up your stay and spend time on the Kona side, let me know and I have all kinds of recommendations there.

Mahola,
Joe
