| We are planning spring 2004 trip to Tucson and want to time it when Sonoran desert cactus are in bloom. I know it must vary from year to year but does anyone have suggestions?
Thanks! |

| I suggest you contact the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and Botanical Garden in Tucson and see what they recommend. You can reach the horticulturist there at: gmontgomery@desertmuseum.org |

| keep an eye on this website, it will tell you when things are looking good where you want to go. |
Here is a link that might be useful: arizona wildflower site

| late March to mid April is pretty safe to count on, with warmer weather suitable for shorts and tee shirts more reliable in mid April than March. Amount of wildflowers is highly dependent on amount and timing of rains, but the Palo Verdes and Cactus are more reliable for predictable blooms schedules. |

| Just go there. Any time is the right time. What a place !!! Enjoy. |
