Taking pets with you may be a challenge because many gardens have policies against admitting pets. Leaving them in the car is not a good idea, so your pets might be better off with a friend or relative back home. Like taking a crying baby with you to the opera, sometimes bringing certain loved ones is just not a good idea.

Also, if you plan on only going for 4 hrs or less to each human place, consider using bringfido to find hotels you can keep dogs in, some have daycare. Then, when not at gardens, go to dogfriendly restaurants and other dogfriendly activities, and on hikes.
