While travelling through Virginia. We stopped at Monticello--Thomas Jefferson's plantation and gardens. It is a very unique place attop of a mountain--5000 acres!!! Just off of Highway 64 in Charlottesville, Virgina. He "Thomas Jefferson" our third president was an avid gardner. If you are interested in Gardening and American History; this place is a must see!!!!. Attached is a link to Monticello.........Had to share!!!......Dianne
PS....If you go there, please note the majestic trees that dot the property. Some of the trunks are HUGE!
