| In May we were in Charlotte, North Carolina for a family reunion. Since we enjoy visiting gardens, I did a search and found the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. To make things even better, they had a reciprocal agreement with the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden which we have membership in. A freebie!
You folks in NC are truly blessed. This garden is beautiful and they have wonderful plans for future expansion. It's a must see for anyone in the area.

| I went through these gardens a few years ago and it is exceptional. It was so hot the day we were there - nearing 100 so we took off our shoes and walked through the fountain. Even in the heat everything looked so healthy and well taken care of. I wouldn't mind seeing it again in the future. |

| The NC Zoo near Raleigh is something to see, too. I saw it with my children about 15 years ago and I imagine it has grown since then. All natural habitats and I believe a mission for preserving rare plants from the animals' natural habitats as well as the animals. Funny, we hear a lot about the San Diego Zoo, but not so much about this other fine zoo. I'm not really a zoo fan, but this place made quite an impression on me. Paula |
