scots pine bad pruning

Hy all,

i am a new member to this wonderful forum and want to greet

everyone first.

Now to my problem;)

I have a scots pine in my garden and its about 10-15m high.

Don't know how old it is.

2 years ago i decided to take one branch down that grew into the street. I was really a noob and saw of the collar, so you can say i did a flush cut. I am really sorry for it and now i feel like i could kick myself;)

The wound is about 20cm long, 15cm wide and completely covered with resin. There is callus around it but not much. How are the chances that the tree survives this

and closes the wound? How long will it take - about 10 years? Is that realistic?

Many Greetings

Benjamin
