Yep, probably about 10, maybe 15 years, for the would to occlude fully. At least the resin will help seal the wound; I've seen pines survive worse damage.

sorry but my 6 years old cam ran down weeks ago.
Maybe i can lend one from my father. Where do you know that they survived worse damage? - Do you have photos?
Are scots pines susceptible to fungi?

as noted in the other post .. another conifer ...

if pruning .. properly or improperly done.. killed scots pine... i would have 100 dead ones on the property ... even with experience.. i screw up now and then .. and the tree just doesnt care ...

forget about it ... trees heal themselves....

you need do nothing other than learn how to prune properly.. for next time ...

the problem is, that this tree is the biggest and oldest
one on my property and every morning i open the blinds i see the nice tree and i think to myself: Hopefully it wont go to the dogs - because it would be my fault. It looks very vital and its like "the good, old housetree".
well i guess there is nothing i can do now but i'll check for a camera from my father so you can also have one impression.

Welcome, Benjamin. Two quick points: First, the damage, whatever it turns out to be, has already been done, so no use to beat yourself up anymore over it. Sounds like you are conscientious about your trees and this bodes well for your future efforts. Second, the worst possible outcome from a wound that has difficulty closing will be the potential for a pocket of decay to form. This, if it happens at all, will take considerable time. At its' end stage, the result could be a hollow portion in the trunk. This does, of course, weaken the tree mechanically speaking, but healthwise, strange though it may seem, there could be little to no impact. As long as there is intact phloem, cambium, and xylem, all the necessary nutrient and water transport activities will continue.

but would bet a shiny dollar coin ... or euro ..

that a pocket of decay will NOT develop in your lifetime .... the resin will take care of that ...

i spend all winter worrying about what i did last year.. then spring rolls around.. and instead of staring out the window at the hideous mess i made in my sight line ... i actually go out into the yard in warm weather.. and find other things to do.. or worry about ... and then all of a sudden .. this problems disappears .... in 5 years.. you will be amazed how resilient this tree was.. in fixing what you did to it ....

easiest solution is to quit opening the blinds.. lol ...

PS: BTWay .... how big is this tree.. and how close is it to the house .... i am not in favor of big pines.. that break easily in storms.. being over or to close to the house ...

I don't think i have to worry about storms, because the main wind directions are south and west and our house lays north to the tree. It's also about 5-6m away (as you can see on the first picture). I don't think that the tree is so old (for a scots pine) - Guess about 60-80 years. What do you think?

Looks fine to me, I don't think that will cause you any serious problems.

I'd say more like 35-40 years old.
