mystery Houston shade plant

bought house in established older Houston TX neighborhood, found this plant thriving in heavily wooded oak shade in front yard. is approx 3-4 feet high, leaves 8-10in long 6-8 in. wide. nobody around seems to recognize it. has sparse waxy white flowers 1/4in diameter 4-5in long.
