Tibuchina

I bought this wonderful plant last summer and it bloomed non-stop 'til November when I brought it indoors in its container. It's lost all its leaves, but there are new bright green leaves shooting all over it - if I pruned it back a bit now, would it fail to bloom this summer? I wanted to keep it container-size for a while longer as it wouldn't survive in our U.K. climate.

RE: Tibuchina

Hi Jackie, Tibuchina is root hardy here in NC 7b and warmer. It dies to the ground but comes back and blooms summer till frost. So, I'm sure it would be fine to prune it back a bit.
