Anybody know how to germinate seed of Chinese parasol tree?

Hi,
I have some of these seeds, and I want to sprout them. Are there any special instructions? Or do I just poke em in da dirt? Also, I think the name for this plant is Firmiana simplex. Is this accurate? Do they like boggy conditions, regular garden conditions, or dry conditions? Thanks for any info!

They are very easy to grow from seed. Just plant them in the ground or in pots in potting soil about 1/2 inch deep and keep them warm and moist. Give them a deep pot as they form a long tap root. I seem to recall they took a month or two to germinate but otherwise were very easy. The seedlings have very large, very tropical-looking leaves.
