Getting gingers to flower in the north? (z6b)

I never had any luck with the white Hedychium. I would love to grow the orange and yellow ones. Who has succeeded?

RE: Getting gingers to flower in the north? (z6b)

This is my first year trying them. So far they got pretty sunburned because I had them growing inside over the winter. I'm hoping that they recover and become semi-nice looking plants by the end of the summer. I have some other really nice ones that are just sprouting. I think I'll be giving those some more shade.
