RE: fox tail palm.....

Im in Cairns, Australia.
They are so damn commonly planted that just about every person has one in their front yard.
Seeds are in compost that you buy from the council, seeds are to be found in gutters and on roads from people carting away garden refuse.
Its amazing as about 15 years ago the seeds fetched a high price.
Now the Cassowarys are carting the seeds into the bush and now plants can be found growing in the National Parks, hundreds of kilometres south of their natural range on the Cape.
Easily grown, just dont let the frost get them.
They tolerate very hot and dry conditions once established.
