My Windmill fan palm survived another winter of -20 to -25 degree temperatures. Also my 20 year old Mediterranean Fan Palm, and my younger Washingtonia. Here there are:

15' Windmill Palm, Zone 4

20 year old Med. Palm, Zone 4

Washingtonia, Zone 4

That is bloody well impressive. What kind of shelter do you put on them?

It looks like your soil is on the sandy side.
