What are the temps by you now? They could be sunburned if they were perviously grown in the shade, or just not warm enough to grow well yet. My elephant ears are just starting to grow and they have seen 6 or 7 days in the 80s and out of those days 2 in the 90s (and lately lots of humidity). And they are in full sun. They are finally pushing new leaves out but before were sitting there. Give them some time and when warmer some fertilizer, and they should shoot up.
