I live where it gets down to 28 and it never survives my winters in california. It might rot out from the rain rather than die from the frost, it's hard to tell. If you put it in the ground a seedling can reach three feet high and two feet wide over the summer, and cuttings taken in late summer root easily. So you could keep it going that way. Sue
