Russian Red Canna...problem!

Hi All,
I took my cannas out of my basement today (stored in cardboad boxes).. and much to my surprise some of my Russian Reds have -what appear to be-cankers on them. The overall rhizome is still hard and healthy looking but some areas have black hard spots and some gray fuzzy mold. Should I plant these in the ground immediately? Or should I soak in 10/1 beach solution first? I only soak them in bleach athe end of the season..so I'm not sure if it's a good idea to do it now?
THANKS for your help!!!!

| Do you normally store them this long? I would probably cut out the diseased areas and let it dry, then plant it. I have had to completely get rid of all my cannas at one time because of a virus, and even though diseased I still find them popping up every know and then from some small fragments of rhizomes I have missed. They're pretty hard to kill. |
