| I just potted 2 cat palms in miracle grow potting soil about 3 days ago and it looks like they are dying. Lots of brown on tips of leaves and newer growths are yellow. They do get a good deal of sun and it has been in the high 80's. Normally I plant Majestic Palms in these pots under the exact same conditions and they do wonderful! Is there that big of a difference between the two? HELP!!!! |

| The Cat palms are small understory plants so they are used to less light. I'm surprised that you had luck with Majesties, as most potted plants are shade grown with lots of humidity. Majesties are notorious for drying out. |
