Anyone in the Maryland vicinity having the same problem? I put in my banana, canna, and sweet potato 3 or 4 weeks ago. Same location as last year, nice sunny south-facing wall. Put in slow release Osmocote fertilizer for the first time this year. Plants are just sitting there. Not growing, not sulking, just in a state of suspended animation. We've had some hot sunny days, but a lot of cooler, rainy ones too. I gave them a shot of liquid Miracle Gro a few days ago to see if that helps.

The plants that went in blooming (Mexican heather, pentas, nicotiana) are still happy and blooming, but I want to see some big jungly leaf growth!
