If you live in the Kansas City/Independence/Lee's Summit area, Sutherlands Lumber in Independence, Missouri has a nice assortment of Florida blooming tropicals. They just came in Friday, and include: red passiflora, yesterday-today-tomorrow, orchids, bananas, clerodendrum ugandense, varigated hibiscus, mandevillas, allamandas, cordylines, rabbit's foot fern, sea grape, and many more I can't remember. They are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. M-S, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. No, I don't work for them! I just live close by and am friends with the department manager.

Check with Longview Gardens off 95th and Raytown Road. This spring, they had varigated Maya brugs $4.95/5" pot and plumeria ($20/10" pot - color unknown. Their number is in the phone book - call and ask.
