 o
different form of fatsia?

I was given some starts of a plant from a strangers garden that looks like a smaller leaved with shorter stem form of fatsia. She called it Japanese Ivy that was brought here directly from Japan. I looked on the net and that seems to be another name for Boston Ivy. It was growing in several different spots and she just pulled several tops off, about 1-1 1/2' long, of one that was at least 4-5' and seemed to be multi trunked. She said to put in water or just in the groud. Any ideas? Oh, said it was evergreen-but may get a bit burned with freezing weather.

Perhaps what you have is, Fatshedera. Reliably hardy for zones 8 and up.

Cheers, Barrie.
