Sure I have the name all wrong. Found it in Miami. Need a special kind of Hummingbird with a hooked bill to pollinate. Is it possible to grow in California in zone 11?

RE: Parrots Beak Restrata

My friend has this plant growing at his place. He lives in USDA zone 9 but he lives next to a lake (warm microclimate)and he's usually zone 10 most winters. But our zone 10 probably averages 10 degrees warmer than yours. I don't know if that will make a difference or not. I know it does with some palms and tropicals that don't like consistent low average winter temps, even though there are no freezes.
