I planted this last year (good sized plant) and it made it thru its first winter. I'm wondering now when it might start blooming and what to look for? Thanks
My plant arrived in early March from Plant Delights as a little stick with roots, just beginning to sprout leaves. I kept it indoors in a sunny window until it was warm enough to plant outside, during which time it grew to about 2' tall; after I planted it out, it really took off and began blooming at about 4-5' tall. The plant is now about 6 or 7' tall and has now been blooming off and on for several weeks. (The flowers are small and yellowish green, certainly nothing to write home about, BTW.)
Thanks Johnnie! That's a pretty little flower. I don't think I've seen any on mine though. I actually want to move mine to a better spot, but since I know it'll winter over where it's at I'll leave it til next spring.
One more Question. Was wondering if we can take cuttings of this one, or would it be better to leave it be for winter? Wasn't sure if the stems were hollow or not.
