Over-wintering Antigonon (coral vine; confederate vine)

Virginia

The antigonon seeds that I planted two years ago have finally started to bloom. When I wintered them last year in the sunroom, they proved to be aphid magnets. Plus they looked spindly and half-dead, so it was a drag to have to give them primo growing space when I didn't have much.

How low a temperature can they stand? They're in thick, styrofoam pots (the kind that look like concrete, but aren't too heavy to lift) so I could bring them in when it gets terribly cold, but maybe leave them outside otherwise. I just don't want to risk killing them.
