 o
mexican petunia- ruella brittonia- how to overwinter?

I was wondering if I should trade for this plant.

It looks pretty but I've no idea how to overwinter it- can it do the basement like canna? Short of that there is cold windows (with a wintertime problem with spider mites)- if this is vulnerable to them.

I've also no idea if it would grow quickly enough to bloom in zone 5.

Thx for your advise.

You might be able to keep it going as a houseplant, or take cuttings and root new ones.

If you can't overwinter it, keep me in mind, I grow that mess from cuttings like mad and always have a flat or two sitting around. I have both tall and short, in four colors. I would be happy to send you some next spring.
