Duranta

Hi I am new to this site but come here a lot for information. I just purchased a Duranta from my local nursery. She is/was beautiful, about 6 plus feet tall but not so bushy. I like the tall and slender look. She has beautiful flowers that are now falling off. They said to put in direct sunlight so I did. The little flowers turn brown and have been falling off ever since. About a week. We did have a heavy downpour but the plant was protected from direct heavy rain. She also falls over a lot and now I have her secured. Does she need time to adjust to being out of the greenhouse. What can I do to keep her from loosing so many flowers? And what to do this winter? Obviously she needs to come inside but I wonder if she would handle a dormant winter in a shed if she still got some light? Anyone growing one of these up north? Thanks, Melissa
