Seed identification

Recently a friend returned from a trip to Grenada with several seed pods. She says they are from a yellow-flowered plant they saw on the island. The pods resemble those from Cassia Alata in shape, yet the seeds inside are leguminous. Not at all shaped like the cassia alata seeds. Anyone with some ideas as to what plant this is?
