The large seeds are supposed to dry for 48 hours and not be exposed to direct sunlight. Here's my trade list:

| Any unusual produce or native, medicinal plants that I can propagate would be a fine trade. Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was waiting for answers to appear in my inbox (and got none.) There's absolutely no reason for these giant's bad reputation, unless they're trying to keep the "king of fruit" from getting eaten up by all the foreigners. The seeds were no more musky smelling in my house than musk melon. I waited for my monthly treat to ripen fully, and it tasted like a rich custard. When I don't do this, it's sort-of green, flavorless, and rubbery. These have several seasons a year, and have been arriving at a local import store, from different famers, for months now. (One lady went through the whole fridge, teaching me everything about how to find the best ones.) If anyone else is trying to sprout the seeds, I suggest you stick the pulpy side down, in a sandy medium. This is how the farmers do it. Those ones survived for me. The ones buried in heavy clay turned black and rotted. Some have formed an oblvious ridge along the side, and I suppose these are about to sprout. |

| Right now, I have seeds of: a mamey sapote, sapodilla, Pitanga, and Chironja (a cross between orange and grapefruit). Anything interest you? |
