ID for this beautiful bloomer please

Up until today I thought this was a palm of some sort. I posted in the palm tree forum, but they told me it is not. I never knew these could bloom, and I have this kind for over 20 years. The very strong fragrance is like oriental roses and jasmin. The bloom is as long as my arm. It took two weeks for it to be in full bloom. So what is the common name for this common house plant? Thanks

BTW, this page gives me constant error messages when I use it with MS Explorer. Just when I'm done with my post, the page has fatal errors and I have to close it. Using Mozilla now, see if that works. Anybody with the same problem?

I'm pretty sure it's a variety of dracaena.

I had 2 of that type of plant I had them for years before they bloomed I went through alot trying to get them identified! I always thought they were called a corn plant I finally identified them as a type of dracaena but was told they don't bloom! Mine did and every evening I would walk into my sun room to the most fragrant thing! In the morning they would close up and would not be very fragrant? Anyway they were probably the easiest plant to start new from cuttings I had 2 over 8' before the hurricane now they are all gone but I was glad to see someone else had one that BLOOMS! :-) Enjoy!!

Mine is outside all year long and whent it blooms it has the prettiest fragrance. I love it.
