WOW! I've seen the proper name for what we call the "corn plant" and always thought it odd until I put our poor, long-suffering specimen outside for a couple of months at the end of the summer this year. I brought it in a month ago. It has rewarded us with two "hands" of beautiful white pom-pom blooms with awesome fragrance. The fragrance is so overpowering it really needs to be outside but I'm not going to kill this plant. You tropical climate people are so lucky to be able to enjoy it where it belongs!
