Mango seed root

I kept mango seed for 3 weeks in a wet paper towel. It has sprout long main root, so i transplanted it to a pot with a soil. When i was putting seed in to the soil, the ending tip of the root broke off, the root is still long tho, but will that root dye? will the seed survive? The broken tip was 0.5 inch long.

Hard to tell. Hopefully side roots will be generated to take over from the tap root. It may set back a little in recovery, just wait and see.
