| Hi All, My wife bought me a black sapote tree for my birthday. It is still in the 15 gallon container waiting to be planted. Since we got it in December, it has steadily lost leaves, and continues to do so. I would say a 1/3rd are already gone. The tree was fairly expensive and we are very concerned. I have already sprayed it w/ copper to see if its a fungal infection, but it continues to loose leaves. The picture shows the black color change of the leaves before they drop. We live in Orange County, CA, and the tree looked healthy when we purchased it. Please, any help? |

| Is it getting a lot of water? Try putting it where it will stay dry. Repotting might help, perhaps the soil holds too much moisture. good luck! |
